Target Audience: New or Veteran K-12 Teachers

How can teachers move from the assessment of learning to assessment for learning? In this workshop, new and veteran K-12 teachers will:

 Consider the importance of formative assessment and explore a diverse range of formative assessment strategies;

 Gain comfort in providing students with the scaffolded feedback they need to meet established benchmarks;

Explore the role of anchor papers, whole-class critique, peer conferences, and rubrics in establishing a classroom climate of high expectations for student work
