This
workshop is designed to introduce individuals to the principles of
multisensory structured language education with the Wilson Reading
System. A Wilson trainer introduces general program concepts and
provides instruction in the lesson plan format for 1:1, small group
(3-6 students), or reading class (7-12 students) instruction. Upon completion,
teachers who meet the 3-day attendance requirement of this workshop are generally able to begin using the program with an
individual student, but are NOT considered trained in the Wilson
Reading System. This workshop is the prerequisite to further
training. Participants completing this level of training cannot
represent themselves as Wilson trained and cannot charge fees for
Wilson tutoring.

"Certainly the most
productive and useful training I've had the opportunity to attend. I'm
glad I was here! This was relevant, detailed, very practical, motivating.
This is a program that provides a tool to fix a problem - not merely plug
holes."
