988 is a free, confidential, 24 hr/ 7 day a week lifeline for those in distress, experiencing suicidal ideations, and/or someone just looking for a little mental health support.
It does not replace 911 for public health emergencies but works collaboratively with city officials and emergency services.
More information can be found at SAMHSA.gov/find-help/988.

Dear Parents/ Guardians, January 2024
READS Academy takes great pride in our students' wellness by providing an environment that promotes and protects all student health and safety. We are currently in an epidemic crisis with the use of vapes, vape pens, cartridges and (JUUL) e- cigarettes. Nicotine is addictive and can impact the developing brain. The health concerns around the use of vaping has increased to an unprecedented level in the US and around the world impacting our adolescent population.
Please see attached letter.

April is Occupational Therapy Month! Get out there an use those Gross Motor Skills - walking the dogs, playing Hop Scotch, skipping around the yard! If we are having some April Showers try some Fine Motor Skills inside - grasping your crayons to coloring, cutting out fun pictures or shapes with scissors, play with puzzles, Play doh or pick up small items with tweezers!
